What is Cashback rate?

In short

A flat cashback rate pays a set share of what you spend back to you, so a higher rate means more returned on every purchase.

A flat cashback rate is a fixed share of each purchase that the card puts back to you, with no need to track bonus categories. The comparison below shows the rate on cards that pay cashback at one flat level. Avant Money is the standout here, with 5% back on spending. The other cards sit at 1% for Avant, 1% for Ahlibank Qatar, 1% for AVO Bank and 0.5% for Altyn-i. Rates on these cards are flat only, so a card paying more on some purchases but less on others works differently.
