What a card gives back for your spending, from cashback to points, or nothing at all.
Rewards type says what a card hands back when you spend on it. Cashback returns a share of your spending as money, points build up a balance you redeem later, and some cards carry no rewards scheme at all. Check the return alongside your monthly fee, because a small reward is easily lost in a monthly charge or in the rate you redeem at. 1822direkt has no rewards on its card, with a rewards type of none, while Absa offers cashback on its card.
