How we make money

We provide credit, debit, and prepaid card comparisons, educational content, and free calculators. We earn revenue through two disclosed channels: Affiliate commissions and Sponsored placements. Both allow us to keep the site free for all visitors. Card rankings are produced by our internal methodology.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a specially tagged URL that tells a card issuer you arrived through the site. If you apply and are approved for a card after following one of these links, the issuer may pay us a referral fee. This is standard practice across financial comparison sites and review publications.

Affiliate links are used on card review pages, comparison tables, category hubs, and quiz result pages.

No cost to you

Applying for a card through an affiliate link never adds costs to you. Your fees, APR, rewards, and account terms are identical whether you reach the issuer through our link, a different referral source, or directly.

Sponsored placements and advertising

We sell clearly labelled advertising placements on card comparison pages, category hubs, and quiz results. Sponsored placements are visually distinct from organic results: they appear with a highlighted card and a Sponsored Label so you always know which listings are paid.

How sponsorships work

  • Per market and per language. Advertisers select specific markets and languages for their placements.
  • Advertiser self-service. Ad placements are managed via a dedicated advertising platform.
  • Limited slots. We limit the number of sponsored placements per page to ensure organic results remain prominent and discoverable.

Types of compensation

  • Cost per acquisition (CPA) A one-time payment when you are approved for a card through our affiliate link.
  • Revenue share. A percentage of the revenue generated by referred cardholders over a defined period.
  • Cost per click (CPC) A fixed payment per visitor who clicks through to the issuer's website.
  • Flat sponsorship fee. A fixed periodic fee for display ad placement.
  • Hybrid models. A combination of the above, negotiated on a per-issuer basis.

Compensation arrangements vary by issuer and by market. Not every card listed on the site has a commercial relationship with us.

How We Identify Affiliate Content

  • Footer disclosure. Every page on the site includes a disclosure stating that certain links are affiliate links and that we may earn a commission.
  • Sponsored labels. Every sponsored card carries a visible Sponsored Label that distinguishes it from organic results.
