What is Central Bank of Armenia?

In short

The Central Bank of Armenia is the national authority that licenses banks and issues their registration numbers.

The Central Bank of Armenia licenses and supervises banks operating in Armenia. Each licensed bank is entered in a public register with its own number, which is the quickest way to confirm that a provider you are comparing is a real, supervised bank. AMIO Bank holds licence 40, Converse Bank holds licence 57 and Unibank holds licence 81. Numbers are not comparable across banks, so a higher number does not mean a stronger or safer provider. Use the number to confirm the bank exists and is supervised.
